DEU ARCHAEOLOGY PROGRAM OUTCOMES AND OBJECTIVES

  • To have knowledge about the history and cultures of Mesopotamia, Iran, the Caucasus, the Balkans, the Balkans, the Aegean World and the Eastern Mediterranean, especially Anatolia, starting from the Paleolithic period;
  • To be able to use archaeological terminology;
  • To be aware of archaeological problems;
  • Recognizing the oral and written languages used in Anatolia and the surrounding cultural regions;
  • Ability to work individually or collectively and to support research with interdisciplinary knowledge;
  • To be able to conduct a systematic research; to be able to evaluate, classify, compare and compare archaeological finds, depictions or documents and to be able to present them in appropriate catalogs;
  • To be able to systematically collect and document finds in a specific field study such as excavations, surveys, etc;
  • To have knowledge about the restoration and/or conservation of archaeological finds or remains;
  • To be able to benefit from other social sciences (history, literature, art history, law, sociology, etc.);
  • To have knowledge about contemporary museology methods related to the storage, conservation, exhibition and promotion of archaeological finds;
